Friday is the 8th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks on New York and Washington. The assignment has two parts, choose one and write a response.
1. Most of you were very young when this event happened, but your parents or guardians most likely have memories of this incident. Talk to them about that day and the significance of what happened. Come to class Friday ready to discuss the significance of 9/11. Write a one paragraph description of what the people at home have to say along with any memories you may have. How does this day make you feel?

Either click on the link or copy it into your web browser address bar at the top. Read one of the three articles on this website Remembering 9/11, How will you remember?, or 9/11 five years later. Write a one paragraph response to the article. How did it make you feel when you read it? What are some of the things the article describes? What can you do in the future to remember 9/11?
You can either type the paragraph or hand write it, but bring it in Friday to school. This is a homework assignment, so don't miss out.
